I work as a literary translator from English into German, translating fiction and narrative non-fiction for publishers and professional authors. My main focus lies on suspense-driven and psychologically nuanced texts, including thrillers, psychological thrillers, dramas, historical novels and biographies.

My approach to translation is text-oriented and target-focused. I aim to produce German texts that function naturally and convincingly in their own right, while remaining faithful to the structure, tone and intent of the original. Clarity, coherence and readability are central to my work, particularly when dealing with complex or stylistically inconsistent source material.

Alongside my translation work, I bring experience from a range of professional contexts, including practical, social and advisory fields. These backgrounds inform my sensitivity to dialogue, character dynamics and real-world settings, which is especially relevant for narrative and psychologically driven texts.

I have experience working on both standalone titles and book series and collaborate closely with editors throughout the production process. My technical workflow includes CAT tools (Cafetran Espresso), Papyrus Author and Microsoft Word.
